COMSERV (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (COMSERV) was incorporated in Sarawak, Malaysia on 19 March, 1985 as a joint venture between Australian and Malaysian concerns and was associated with Comserv (Australia) Pty. Ltd., a computer company which was located in Perth, Australia.
In early 1986, we were awarded a project by the Sarawak State government to computerise the Department of Lands & Surveys in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. It was the biggest IT project ever undertaken by the Sarawak State government then. The project, called LASIS (Land & Survey Information System), comprises of the development of software for the survey and mapping systems, based on Intergraph solutions, integrated with the title registration and revenue collection systems. LASIS was successfully launched by Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, the then Right Honourable Chief Minister of Sarawak in August 1988.
In November 1988, COMSERV became a member of the highly diversified Rimbunan Hijau Group with Tiong Toh Siong Holdings Sdn Bhd (105159-U) as the controlling equity. In June 2005, the equity was transferred to Tiong Toh Siong Enterprises Sdn Bhd (178305-K).
Over the years, we have undertaken numerous ICT projects from both Government as well as private sectors, providing solutions for System Integration and IT Network infrastructure.
